Poultry Department

The Adventium Songhai Delta Farm or Songhai Delta farm poultry department has the following operational units that operate as strategic business profit-centered business units:

Through Adventium Global Agro-Production Enterprise (AGAPE) Ltd, we:

  • Hatchery Operations: There is a hatchery building to produce day-old-chicks. It has a brand new 21,500 egg incubation equipment with an existing 11,500 egg incubation equipment as well as a hatcher.
  • Day Old Chicks Brooding Operations: Two buildings for holding and brooding of day-old chicks produced from the hatchery operations before transferring to broiler or layer pens exist within the farm. Each of the pens has a holding capacity for 1000 chicks.
  • Commercial Egg Production Operations: The farm has commercial egg production buildings and infrastructure with a layer bird holding capacity of more than 60,000 laying birds.
  • Broiler Operations: With eight buildings or pens installed with capacity for the weekly production of 4,000 broiler birds, the farm presently has the capacity to produce 200,000 broiler birds annually. At an average weight of 1.5kg per bird, the farm’s annual chicken meat production capacity is 300 tons.
  • Parent Stock Operations: The farm has buildings for parent stock rearing with a holding capacity of 2000 birds per pen or building.
  • Other Poultry Operations: Various bird species such as Duck, Geese, exotic birds, Turkey as well as Ostrich and Quail are reared in the farm.
In carrying out these services, the Company ensures that production meet both local and international standards whilst ensuring that its Corporate Social responsibility to all stakeholders are met. The Company works in collaboration with Adventium Global Engineering Ltd in executing its large-scale commercial mechanized crop and livestock production programs.

Piggery Department

The department currently consists of four (4) rearing / farrowing as well as growers pens with a holding capacity handling 2000 pigs.

Aquaculture Department

With a total 42-tank aquaculture infrastructure, the farm has the capacity to produce 40 tons of both Catfish and Tilapia fish annually. The farm also produces juveniles and fingerlings.

Other Livestock Department

This department has two livestock production units viz:
  • Grasscutter Operations: The farm presently has a grasscutter rearing operations infrastructure for seven hundred (700) grasscutter families. The infrastructure can be expanded to accommodate two thousand, one hundred (2100) grasscutter families.
  • Snail Farming Operations: The company has an infrastructure for the breeding of snails at the farm. The current installed capacity of the snail farm’s building is over 2000. This will be expanded to 6000 snails.
